Crabtree Brewing Chunkin' Pumpkin
As part of a beer trade with Lee from Hoptopia, I received a six-pack of Crabtree Brewing Chunkin’ Pumpkin. The beer pours a copper color with a frothy beige head that lingers for a while. The aroma consists of spicy cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg with a faint background of pumpkin and caramel. There is even a faint hint of graham cracker crust in the background. The taste is dry and full of spices, a large contingent of which is allspice and nutmeg. There is a cinnamon dryness before some caramel and pumpkin sweetness come out. The finish has a graham cracker taste to it with bits of sugar. The alcohol content is 5.7% ABV. This was a rather solid autumn seasonal that really popped with spices. The pumpkin and caramel were subtle, but provided the necessary balance for this spicy beer.

Crabtree Brewing Peachtree Cherry Wheat
As part of a beer trade with Lee from Hoptopia, I received a bottle of Crabtree Brewing Peachtree Cherry Wheat. The beer pours a pale yellow color with champagne-like bubbles and a frothy white head. The aroma consists heavily of peach with some cherry, grapes, wine, wheat, and lemon. The taste is dry and light with lots of lemon and wheat coming out in the front end. There is a grassy and peppery hop bite before the peach and cherry flavors finally shines through, and the after taste is oaky with wine. The alcohol content is 6.0% ABV. I liked the light body to this beer that was packed with flavors, including peach, cherry, and grape. The addition of oak on the finish really helped this beer a lot and I would definitely drink it again.

Crabtree Brewing Syzygy Barrel-Aged Black IPA
I received a bottle of Crabtree Brewing Syzygy Barrel-Aged Black IPA from Lee of Hoptopia in a beer trade. The beer pours a black color with a lofty and frothy tan head with a light amount of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of chocolate, lemon, oak, and caramel. The taste has a solid toasted malt and chocolate base with a slight sour lemon pucker on the side of the mouth. There is some pine and pepper that comes out in the finish, and the after taste leaves some caramel and oak behind on the tongue. The alcohol content is 8.0% ABV. This was a solid Black IPA that definitely benefited from the barrel aging process, as the dry oakiness really added a nice complexity to the beer.

Crabtree Berliner Weiss Ale
I received a bottle of Crabtree Berliner Weiss Ale from Lee (Hoptopia) in a beer trade. The beer pours a cloudy yellow color with a bubbly white head that recedes rather rapidly. The aroma consists of funky with horse blanket, hay, barnyard smells, lemon, pepper, and grass. The taste is light bodied with a big sour lemon profile, being slightly puckering. There is a nice background of barnyard funk with grassy hops and a hint of pepper on the finish. The alcohol content is not available online, but I would estimate it to be about 4.5% ABV. I really enjoyed this Berliner Weiss and it’s slight puckering flavor, without being too sour for the style.
