Appalachian Brewing Company Celtic Knot Irish Red Ale

For the March seasonal beer, Appalachian Brewing Company released the Celtic Knot Irish Red Ale. The beer has a bubbly cream colored head with a reddish amber color. The aroma consists of ginger and malts. The taste is filled with nutmeg, ginger, and sweet malts. There is a light hop balance on finish. The alcohol content is 4.8% ABV. I though that the Celtic Knot was a good overall beer. The spices really balance out the hops and the sweetness, making a very enjoyable and flavorful beer.

Saranac Irish Red Ale

The final beer I tried from the “12 Beers A Falling” from Saranac was the Irish Red Ale. The beer has a red color with a lofty white head. The smell is slightly malty, but not overpowering. The taste is very malty with a slight wheat hint. There is slight toffee and caramel undertones and a very light hop finish. The alcohol content is 4.5% ABV. I thought this was a great Irish Red Ale and would definitely try this beer again.

Bullfrog Brewery- Irish Red Ale

Thanks to my coworker Jack, I was delivered a growler full of Bullfrog Brewery's Irish Red Ale. I have not previously had the Irish Red Ale, but I am glad that I requested a growler of it. The alcohol content is 4.8% and it has a beautiful red color to it. The hop content in the beer is perfect and the flavor is so attractive, it makes you want to drink more. That could be the reason that I polished off an entire growler in one night.
