Rock Art Belvidere Big IPA

My buddy Matt brought over a bottle of Rock Art Belvidere Big IPA on a day in which I was brewing. The beer pours an amber color with floating yeast flakes and a bubbly white colored head. The aroma is fresh smelling with lemon, light caramel, grass, and orange. The taste is dry and bitter with plenty of citrus flavors including orange, tangerine, and lemon. Pine, spruce, and pepper spice up the finish, but keep the beer refreshing and light on the tongue. The alcohol content is 8.0% ABV. This was a rather delicious and fresh tasting beer. My buddy picked it up in-state, so I assume that it was fresh on the shelves and we drank it only days later. The citrus and spices in this beer were prominent but well-balanced against a nice caramel base.

Rock Art Extreme Pumpkin Imperial Spruce Stout

I picked up a bottle of Rock Art Extreme Pumpkin Imperial Spruce Stout from Al's of Hampden. The beer pours a black color with a frothy tan head.The aroma is chocolate and coffee with hints of pumpkin, spruce, and pine hops. The taste is deep and chocolaty and a good helping of coffee. The beer then transitions into a light pumpkin flavor with a very dry spruce finish. The alcohol content is 8.0% ABV. The pumpkin flavors really came out as the beer warmed, and this was a welcoming alternative to your typical pumpkin beer. Being an Imperial Stout with pumpkin accents and sans the large helpings of spices made this not your run-of-the-mill fall pumpkin beer. Go out there and grab a bottle while you can!

Rock Art Belvidere Big IPA

I ordered a glass of Rock Art Belvidere Big IPA at O'Reilly's in Harrisburg. The beer pours an amber caramel color with a frothy white head. The aroma is sweet caramel with a big floral hop punch that is very noticeable from far away. Also, there is a faint hint of toffee in the aroma background. The taste is sweet with caramel. The pine hops are big in this beer with toasted caramel and toffee on the finish and a bitter hop bite. The after taste is a little dry but holds on to caramel, so it is also somewhat sweet. The alcohol content is 8.0% ABV. I thought that the Belvidere Big IPA was delicious and refreshing without being too bitter. It probably is somewhat too hoppy for those that don't enjoy hops, but for those that do, it is a great beer.

Rock Art Vermonster

Following the much covered lawsuit between Rock Art Brewery and Monster Energy Drink, I decided that I had to give the Vermonster a try and I found a bottle of it at Brass Rail. The beer has a dark copper color with a frothy creamy head. The smell is spicy and hoppy with caramel hints. The taste is hoppy on the front consisting of pine hops. It then sweetens with caramel presence. The alcohol content is 10.0% ABV. This beer is one of the better hoppy beers that I have ever had. Rock Art really understands the balance of hops and malts that make this beer very enjoyable.

Rock Art Infusco

My boy Matt also picked up a bottle of Rock Art Infusco. The beer has a very dark color and a thick head. The aroma smells of chocolate with a hint of the alcohol. The beer tastes of dark chocolate, which is slightly bitter in taste. The alcohol content is 8% ABV. Overall, I thought this was a decent beer, but it was not what I was expecting. Most chocolate beers are a little sweeter, but I thought the bitter dark chocolate adds another dimension to this beer.

Rock Art Brewery Golden Tripple

When I poured the Rock Art Brewery's Golden Tripple, I noticed the excellent dark amber color with a decent amount of carbonation. You can smell the aromatic hops after the pour, which is very enticing. The taste has a bit of a bite, but it is not all from the hops. Some of the bite comes from the ginger that is added during the brewing process. I found this beer to stand out from a lot of beer, and I would definitely try again. The alcohol content is 8.0% ABV.
