Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel Peche Mortel

I picked up a bottle of Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel Peche Mortel from a beer bottle shop in Niagara Falls. The pours an extremely dark brown color with a frothy tan head. The aroma consists of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts, and cream. The taste is dry and huge on coffee flavor with a wonderful alcohol bite on the finish. Dark chocolate lingers in the after taste and really sparks on the tongue. The alcohol content is 9.5% ABV. The Peche Mortel may be one of the better coffee beers that I have had and it achieved a wonderful balance of chocolate, coffee, and alcohol. It will surely warm you up on a cold night and wake you up when you are tired.

Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel Aphrodisiaque

I ordered a glass of Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel Aphrodisiaque at TJ's 7th Anniversary Party, and even though the keg kicked mid-pour, I still got enough of a sample to do a review. The beer pours a black color with a frothy tan head. The aroma consists of vanilla and sawdust, which sounds worse than it was. The taste is smooth and silky with lots of milk chocolate and some dry coffee on the finish. The alcohol content is 6.5% ABV. What an amazing beer the Aphrodisiaque was. It was like silk being poured over the tongue with a wonderful compliment of sweet chocolaty flavors.
