Dogfish Head Chicory Stout
I picked up a bottle of Dogfish Head Chicory Stout at D's Six Pax and Dogz in Pittsburgh. The beer has a black color with a lofty tan head. It smells of strong coffee and chicory. The taste is rich in coffee with a smooth finish. There is a light chicory accent and it finishes creamy. I found it interesting that the bottle label claims the head is white, but it is tan. The alcohol content is 5.2% ABV. This was a smooth and enjoyable coffee flavored beer with a nice cream finish.
