Cascade Brewing Apricot Ale

I ordered a bottle Cascade Brewing Apricot Ale from their online website and shared with friends. The beer pours a golden color with a bubbly white colored head. The aroma consists of apricot, vinegar, tartness, wheat, and oak. The taste is tart and vinegary with a great apricot flavor that is strong and lasts throughout the taste. The finish is dry with oak and another round of tartness. The alcohol content is 7.76% ABV. This was a wonderful sour beer with a great and powerful apricot flavor. I would absolutely order another bottle of this and recommend that you do as well.

Cascade Blueberry

I received a bottle of Cascade Brewing Blueberry in a beer trade with the Beer Club 4 Men. The beer pours a purple color with a white head that also has some purple hints. The aroma consists of blueberry, vinegar, and sugar. The taste is tart and puckering on the front end with plenty of vinegar flavor. Blueberries balance the sourness with a light sweetness and hints of crust and sugar. The finish is dry and champagne-like. The alcohol content is 7.33% ABV. This was a rather delicious sour beer with great vinegar aspects blended with blueberry and crust-like flavors.

Cascade Kriek Ale

I picked up a bottle of Cascade Kriek Ale at Al’s of Hampden based on Al’s recommendation (he’s a good salesman!). The beer pours a reddish brown color with a bubbly off-white colored head that dissipates rapidly. The aroma consists of sweet yet slightly sour cherry, sugar, vinegar. and Belgian yeast. The taste is very puckering right up front with plenty of vinegar drying out the tongue. The sour cherry with some sweet sugar accent comes out in the finish. The after taste leaves some malts behind but the vinegar lingers. The alcohol content is 7.1% ABV. I will say that Al gave an excellent recommendation and this was quite a wonderful kriek. There is plenty of sour punch with this beer, so beware if you are new to sours.
