Black Diamond Free Style Belgian Style Blonde

I received a bottle of Black Diamond Free Style Belgian Style Blonde as part of my beer of the month club from Beer on the Wall. The beer pours a golden color with a bubbly white head that dissipates rather quickly. The aroma consists of Belgian yeast, spice, pepper, and banana. The taste is very light and fruity with some banana and pepper. The finish brings out some Belgian yeast and a few spices. The after taste leaves some weeds and grass on the tongue. The alcohol content is 5.2% ABV. I would describe this beer as a little watered down and not entirely full of flavor. Strangely enough, I liked the after taste the most as part of this beer.

Black Diamond Jagged Edge IPA

As part of my beer of the month club from Beer on the Wall, I received a bottle of Black Diamond Jagged Edge IPA. The beer pours a copper color with a foamy white head that lingers for a while and laces to the glass. The aroma consists of lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, orange, and spruce. The taste is smooth with a good amount of caramel before the bitter grapefruit, tangerine, and orange settles in on the tongue. The finish has a good twist of pine and spruce, which dries out the tongue. The after taste has some pepper hang on to the back of the mouth. The alcohol content is 7.3% ABV. This was a nice IPA that took my tongue on a wild ride, from sweet to bitter and dry.

Black Diamond Peak XV Imperial Porter

I saw Black Diamond Peak XV Imperial Porter on the Beer on the Wall website and I ordered a bottle. I must say that the wax seal might have been the most difficult I have ever tried to open. The beer pours a dark brown color with an extremely lofty tan head. The aroma consists of toasted malts, oak, coffee, dry dark chocolate, caramel, and vanilla. The taste is big and bold with lots of dark chocolate flavors and plenty of toasted malts. There is a nice complimentary vanilla undertone and a dry coffee finish. The alcohol content is 8.0% ABV. Being my first beer from Black Diamond, I was quite impressed with the Peak XV Imperial Porter. It was quite smooth but has a roasted edge to gives it a great balance.

Black Diamond Rampage Imperial IPA

I ordered a bottle of Black Diamond Rampage Imperial IPA from Beer on the Wall. The beer pours a golden color with a frothy white head that laces to the glass. The aroma consists of grapefruit, tangerine, orange, lemon, and pine. The taste is bitter but slightly sweet with grapefruit, orange, tangerine, and lemon flavors. The beer dries a little on the finish with fresh pine and spruce hops. The alcohol content is 9.0% ABV. This was wonderfully done Imperial IPA with all the right citrus flavors and hop balance. It was not overly sweet or bitter, but struck the perfect balance.
