Mississippi Brewing Mississippi Mud Black & Tan
My buddy Mike picked me up a growler-bottle of Mississippi Brewing Mississippi Mud Black & Tan. The beer pours a dark amber color with a frothy cream-colored head that leaves some lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of toasted malts, chocolate, grass, lemon, and caramel. The taste is light and slightly sweet with a mostly toasted chocolate malt flavor. A hint of grass and lemon peek through, and the finish is a bit watery. The alcohol content is 5.0% ABV. I can’t say I was overly impressed with this beer, as it was watery on the finish and over carbonated. It had a few decent flavors, but not enough to make up for its shortcomings.

I'm right there with ya. I was really hoping for something better considering the packaging, but perhaps I should've known better based on the price. Live and learn!
