Troegs Rugged Trail Nut Brown Ale
I was extremely excited to see that Troegs announced the return of the discontinued Rugged Trail Nut Brown Ale. I think brown ales are underutilized and often not appreciated, but I loved a good brown ale. The beer pours a dark brown color with a frothy tan head. The aroma consists of toasted malt and caramel, simple yet wonderful. The taste places roasted malts on the front end with a great toast flavor. A caramel undertone provides a solid backbone and there is a nice bite on sides of mouth. The alcohol content is 4.4% ABV. Again, I was excited to see this beer return, and I look forward to drinking it again and again, as Troegs continues to produce it.
