Rogue Dead Guy Ale
I’ve had Rogue Dead Guy Ale before, and I’m not sure why I never reviewed it, so here is my review. The beer pours a golden orange color with a foamy white head. The aroma consists of sweet malts, caramel, alcohol, toffee, and butterscotch. The taste is smooth and round with lots of malts, toasted caramel, toffee, and butterscotch. The finish is lightly dry with some pine and floral hops and has an after taste of grassy and earthy hops. The alcohol content is 6.5% ABV. This is a wonderfully crafted maibock and stands as a great example of the style, with an excellent hop accent that keeps it from being too sweet.
